Adding the ability to update a resource via http

It woul be great if I could update a resource in the library with an http put. Say, for example the naming convention on new content is wrong, it would be nice if I could update it via a third party tool once I've found the info. This would be in much the same way as your http gets, but we could have the content body containing the new data item for that unique resource. I'd suggest that you restrict updates to ITEMS only though... Thoughts?

This would not work nicely with the update mechanism. It could be reverted to the original metadata by the automatic metadata updater.

Okay. That makes sense. I wonder if there is a way to flag suspicious entries in the library then, so we can adjust physical names to help?
