CyberGhost VPN Problem

Just started using CyberGhost VPN today and of course Serviio doesn't work now.
I uninstalled the VPN software and Serviio then works as normal
Reinstalled and same problem.
Doesn't even matter if the VPN is on or not.
I have a ticket to them, but who knows how long that will take
Ideas? Thanks

Re: CyberGhost VPN Problem

Serviio uses port 1900 for UPnP access. So that port needs to be opened. You also need TCP 8895. To access the Serviio console from a computer other than the Serviio computer, you need port 23423.

See this thread for more detailed information about the ports used. viewtopic.php?t=22488

I'm just trying to stream from Serviio computer to a bluray that I use for the DNLA device.

Re: CyberGhost VPN Problem

Yes, you need to open those ports on your Serviio computer that is running the VPN. Right now, the VPN makes your computer invisible on your network. That's why your BD player can't see it. Those ports have to be open to your local network. I don't use a VPN, so I can't tell you the steps involved to make the changes.
