Google Tv Rendering.

Hello all! I have a Lg55ga6400 google tv and so far I havent been able to play any serviio because no correct rendering format.

Luckily I found Playon made their own app for google tv but I'm yet to find anything for serviio. Maybe I'm not doing it right?
Any help or development would be greatly appreciated.

I'm slowly working on getting ServiiGo to work with Google TV, while it isn't officially supported, a few users have tried it and it mostly works, although navigation isn't very good. So it is very much in the early needs testing and lots of helpful feedback stage, if you aren't up for that you will need to wait a while.

Once Serviio 1.3/ServiiGo 3.0 comes out, I might have some time to focus on it again.

At the moment, you have to download it on to a phone/tablet, copy it off, then side load it onto your Google TV, and you ideally need to be running Serviio 1.3 (which is still in beta testing) + a few profile changes. If your not sure what that involves, then its probably best to wait a few months until I get it working enough to the point that I'm happy to make it available on Google Play for all Google TV devices because at the moment, it is not a very good experience (consider it sort of Alpha stage with lots of bugs and missing features).

Experimental support is in the latest ServiiGo beta on Google Play so you no longer need to sideload the app, but you do need to be registered before Google Play will let you download it.

To download the ServiiGo 3.0 Beta:
Step 1: Sign up to the ServiiGo Beta Testers group at https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgr ... ta-testers
Step 2: Opt-in to the beta programme at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.serviigo
Step 3: Wait a few minutes, then visit Google Play via your Google TV and search for ServiiGo, it should now appear in the search results and let you download it.

Please let me know how it goes, so far it's only been tested on my Sony box, so bear in mind it's still experimental so I'm very much in need of feedback before I can make it available for everyone by default.

I've just got two crash reports from an LG Google TV, where you able to set the app up, or did it keep crashing? Its comming from a strange place inside one of the libraries I use, never seen it before, so I'm not sure just yet as to what is causing it.

Tv's smartshare sees the the server but cant play anything and serviigo just doesnt see the server.

It's in the library I use for the ActionBar, I'll try to patch it. For now, type the server details in manually, although it may crash for the same reason at other parts in the app.

I followed the directions and signed up for the beta but am unable to install the app - the Play store still says I have no compatible devices. I have a Sony Internet TV NSXGT1.

I will attempt a side load because I'm very excited about this app (it works great on my phone!) but would love to have the beta list my device as compatible.

Hmmm, I'll try to fix that, you should be offered the download. Either sideload it off of your phone, or send me an email. I'll get a build on bitbucket later tonight otherwise.

Please let me know how it goes, if I get enough feedback then I'll make it available on Google Play, but I'm not confident enough about its usability at the moment as I've only been able to do a small amount of testing.

I never was able to get it from the Google Play store but I was able to sideload it and it's been working all but perfectly! My only complaint is after a video finishes, I'm left at a blank screen with the busy cursor, I have to hit back and go pick another video -- I would love it if it were to autoplay the next video! but I have no complaints about the interface, even on my 40" TV it looks great!

Re black screen, yes I've noticed that (doesn't do it on non-Google TV devices), but haven't had the time to work out exactly why it does it. Will look at it again next time I have a chance.
