- Do you have media added to the serviio library, check the serviio log file for that, or use INTEL TOOLS (AV Media Controller) to browse serviio library.
- When media are shared from network hard Drive, check the write access, see FAQ My files (on remote drive) are not scanned

I think UNC path is better, something like \\Share\Video\...
Look at this: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1113&p=5632&hilit=UNC#p5632

These are tools for UpnP/DLNA debugging, with AV Media Controller, you can see information on UpnP/DLNA device: Media Renders (your TV, BluRay,etc) and Content Directories (Server like Serviio)

Do you read viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7&start=0

werdas wrote: how to check the write access?

For windows users, look at serviio service write access: viewtopic.php?t=1113&p=5281#p5281

I do not have any account on my win 7, so not sure how do I set up :

'Make sure the user that runs Serviio server/service has got access to the shared folders. If you are on Windows, check that the user running the Windows service has got access. To run the service as a different user go to Services (from the Windows Control Panel → Administrative Tools or typing "Services.msc" in the Run command on Start menu), select Serviio, right-click -> Properties, Log On tab, enter user's details and restart the service.'

when I try to log on as administrator, with no password, on restart windows comes with error 1069, windoes could not start serviio service on local computer, due to logon failure

how to set same credentials on the NAS?

Accessing a NAS device: the exact same set of credentials must be created on the NAS device. The Windows credentials must be a local user and not a domain user. The user must have "Run As Service" rights. The remote path must be entered as a UNC path in the Serviio Console (mapped drive letters will not work since user running the Serviio service is not aware of your mapped drives).

You can also try to stop the serviio service and run serviio.bat instead, see if it makes any difference.
