Arris STB PVR with DLNA Question?

Out here on the West Coast of Canada we have a company by the name of Shaw. They have been hacking away at a device made by http://www.arrisi.com/products/product.asp?id=678 which is sold as DLNA capable. However they have disabled much in the firmware and are having no luck whatsoever getting their hacked ROMS to work over wifi. So they have broken a promise to customers to enable streaming DLNA from servers like windoze PLAY-TO or Serviio or Allshare or whatever.

Does anybody know if there are any moca capable Arris STB PVR gateway devices being used with fully enabled DLNA and router wifi or using ethernet router/modem over on the other side of the pond, Great Britain and Europe or Asia or for that matter down south in the US of A?

Or is Shaw just deliberately crippling the already fully capable firmware like they did to all the Motorola STBs without moca capabilities and are playing dirty games with their customers?

If they ever do manage to enable the included DLNA server in the Arris firmware ROM I will document it with the correct tools and post it to the appropriate section for consideration of others to help work on working xml profile setting.

Apart from UPNP being crippled by Shaw the device is stellar with 5.1 audio and mp4 1080p. Visually it is also a huge improvement with stable MPEG2 1080i streams with no drop to speak of.

Thanks for any help as finding out if Shaw is being less than honest is the aim of this little inquiry.
