Has anyone been able to stream thier desktop using the latest version of VLC ??

I want to be able to watch anything being streamed to my monitor on my tv via my pioneer BCS-222 which already works for files of the network and IPLayer plugins etc

If anyone has can you provide a step by step guide for a streaming novice !

Thanks

There is nothing special about the latest VLC.

The wiki shows how to do it with a previous release.

You are on your own if you want to update it.

i dl'd an old version but Im not getting the same options when it comes to selecting sound options for playback recoding etc as Im using a dedicated sound card that I use for recording music/midi etc.

I have also assumed that as the latest version of VLC has a stream desktop option it might be easier rather than install additional sound and video capture prgrams but that could just be ignorance on my part

Thanks for the replay anyway

Yes, the latest VLC has options that could be used. Feel free to update the bat to use them rather than the ones in the wiki, but that will take some work whereas the wiki one works as is.
