DLNA player for Windows?

Hi everybody,

I'm new here and I'm already delighted by the software. I can now watch on my tv every single episode of my favourites shows recorded on my pc; it's simply fabulous!

Now I can do it on my tv... is it possible to do the same on another pc on my home network? Is there any reliable DLNA/UPnP media (video) player for Windows that can "see" and use the Serviio server? I searched the Internet but I didn't find anything useful.

Can anyone help?

Yes its possible but sadly windows uses a screwed version of the dlna protocol for WMP so atm serviio does not support it but hopefully ZIP will add this function soon once he has made browsing large Libraries easier ;)

Yes, use XBMC, works well with Serviio.

XBMC downloaded and installed... but I can't make it work
In the config menu, I don't know what to put in the "UPnP://" field. I tried with the server IP, the server/machine name (with and without the "/serviio" path) but it didn't work...
At the other end (Serviio console), Serviio "sees" the XBMC machine but there's is an "orange light". Do I have to use another profile than "Generic DLNA profile"?

I just tried it yesterday, clicked on Add source, Browse, UPnP server, it found Serviio - click on it, select Audio/Video/Image or whatever folder you wish.

I've been robbed and I have bought a new laptop*, installed XBMC on it... It works perfectly with Serviio. I intend to use it on my "old" LCD TV (KDL-32S2000) in my bedroom, connected to a nettop (like Lenovo Q150 or so). Pure pleasure. Thanks for your nice job!
*the old one was certainly "too" old :-/
