Android Tablet cannot access Serviio

What causes devices to be greyed out on Console/Status?
I have a green light on my Tablet Running Bubble but it is greyed out so cannot access Serviio?
How do I fix this?

If I delete the device from the console, Serviio immediately becomes available on the device, but the device does nor reappear on the console....which makes no sense at all!

Then after a long wait (10+ minutes) it appears on the console. But why was it greyed out, and why did it not reactivate when the green light went on? Looks like a bug to me.

I can then set the profile for the device as per the next post.

Note that my DVD Player at .21 has not yet re-appeared in the console list.

Wow.. at last after 30 some minutes it has reappeared.

So:

1. Why greyed out
2. Why not restored when green light back on
3. Why so long to reappear after deleting.

Re: Android Tablet cannot access Serviio

I noticed the same problem with my new Samsung TV, but only on one of my Serviio boxes. Have no idea why it loaded that way, but you can right-click on entry and allow the device to work with Serviio. Hit the save button and the line-out disappears and it is no longer grayed out. Then your device can use Serviio. Worked for me last night.

And I do have Serviio configured to allow all new devices to connect and use. Strange why one Serviio box had no issue, while the other was blocked. :?

I assume you have to select Enable access for new devices. If you means the strike-through entries as greyed out.

Items like that mean the device has no access.

Yes, I keep enable clicked until the device is available, then I disable it so unwanted devices do not get added.

Please clarify "the device has no access". I thought the green and red lights indicated when the device was on or off, so who is doing the greying out and what is the trigger for that? Obviously its more than the device is turned off, so what causes Serviio to grey/cross it out?

Seems this is the answer, although it is not documented anywhere.
Any device can be disabled/enabled by right clicking and clicking or unclicking "Device Allowed" and then saving.
