Any HELP will be muchly appreciated.

An MPG video I created from a DVD disc will play OKAY in other video players.
Neither SERVIIO version 1.5.2 nor 1.6.1 will play a 438mb MPG video, but another copy that was also made, a 238mb MP4 plays ok.
----------------------------------
If a video file cannot be played, locale FFmpeg executable (in lib folder in Serviio installation directory, or a part of your Linux distribution), run this command and post the result in the forum:
----------------------------------
ffmpeg.exe -i "<C:\Program Files\Serviio\lib>"
----------------------------------
In RUN ... enterd CMD then changed to Serviio directory

C:\>cd Program Files\Serviio\lib

C:\Program Files\Serviio\lib>ffmpeg.exe -i

Hi Ken!

The way you ran the command only tells us the version of FFMPEG you are using. And your version is almost a year and a half old. I'd update it before testing anything else.

To provide us with the video information we need to help, you run ffmpeg -i <video file name>. If the video file name has spaces in it, make sure you enclose it on parentheses. If you don't run FFMPEG from the folder where the video file is located, you will need to include the full path to the file (again inside the parentheses if there's any spaces).

If you are using the Windows operating system, Windows Media Player supports MPEG-1. For the record, if you want to play the video on a VCD disc in Windows Media Player, you will have to browse onto the disc in explorer and locate the AVSEQ file(s) in the MPEGAV folder. If you are using a Mac or Linux operating system, then it is recommended that you download the VLC player. And there is an Easiest Solution, you can try some best free video converters to transcode to popular playable video formats.
