It works for me. make sure you select that it's an Audio online resource before hitting the check URL button.

It's an Audio Live Stream and It's all correct. Firefox 34.0.5 on the 2GHz XP Pro box may have something to do with it. The 'CHECK' button spins for ~130 Seconds while Firefox uses 95% to 99% of the P4 CPU. Plays fine on the Sony Bravia.

As with all problems, you need to post a detailed log. It will show the ffmpeg command that checks the link and show what is happening.

I'll turn 'debug' on later, but for now, does it help that ffmpeg never started while the [Check stream URL] was spinning? The normal log had no mention of the radionomy URL. Also, every time I attach a 5 minute debug log, people complain it's too big to read with Notepad.

As expected, attached is the detail log for a 4 minute period encompassing to time wile the [Check stream URL] button was spinning.

I updated Firefox. No change. Tried an old Chrome. Same but didn't spin as long.

Yes! I understand! I had prove that the the Serviio service never saw the console's request. The log I sent is ALL that happened while the [Check Stream URL] console button was 'spinning' in the Firefox browser. Get it?

No, you don't understand. That log is incomplete. Anyone that tries to help need additional detail from a debug log. That isn't sufficient.

During the time the [Check Stream URL] spins, the Serviio service doesn't do a damn thing. The button icon spins. The Firefox container uses 99% of the CPU for 90 seconds and reports a failure. I included the log encompassing that time interval to prove it. Later, I'll zip up a complete 30 minute log to show that the service never gets asked to do anything. Please don't tell me again it's too big. One can examine the log all day long. The problem has to be in the console.

OK. This is insane. Serviio started around 10:30. Stream checked and failed at 10:46. Again at 11:10. I don't see anything in the logs before I shut it down.

I didn't like the previous logs I uploaded, so i deleted all log files, started serviio at 8:30, attempted to check the stream at 9:32, and stopped serviio around 9:45. I see nothing in the logs, but here they are.
