Just copy everything in the library folder.

From the FAQ

http://www.serviio.org/component/content/article/21#q8

  Code:
How to upgrade Serviio to the latest version?

If you are upgrading to the latest version and want to keep all your settings and media library entries, do not uninstall your current Serviio version - a simple installation over the current one will do.

Windows

Simply run the installer and use the same installation location of your current version
Linux

Stop Serviio server and console
Overwrite all files in the current Serviio location with the new ones but keep folder library intact
OSX

Stop Serviio server and console
Make a backup copy of your current library folder inside Serviio.app/Contents/Resources/Java
uninstall Serviio and install the latest version
copy backed up library folder into its location in the newly installed Serviio.app

There will be changes made to the database for next release of serviio so doing this may not work for linux, and you will more than likely have to start from scratch. If you are running under window then by just running the upgrade wont affect your database it will just add the sections needed for the new release.

if your talking just doing a fesh install of the current version of serviio then Motra is correct just save the LIBRARY folder under serviio's installation do your reinstall and then copy the library folder back to your new installation, and provied the paths to the media have not change it will work. :)

Make a backup copy of your current library folder inside Serviio.app/Contents/Resources/Java

I am trying to upgrade from V1.4 to 1.4.1 and I am unable to find any folders inside Serviio.app. What do I do?

That particular instruction was for Mac OS X installations. Is yours installed on Windows?
