Macos writing to Soundflower or Loopback from Mediaserver or

Hi All,

Brand new to the Serviio universe. I'm looking for an MacOS app that can read audio from a stream and write it to Soundflower or Loopback as multichannel audio within a track. ANyone know of anything that can do it?

Thank you!

Re: Macos writing to Soundflower or Loopback from Mediaserve

You need to install Soundflower to run it on El Capitan. El Capitan requires kext to be signed in order to download them. This installs its kext in / Library / Extensions /.
Then you have to create a multi output device with: Audio MIDI Setup.app, found in / Apps / Utilities /:

Finally, when you want to do an actual recording, make sure you use this multi-output device and shoot from the same Soundflower used in this multi-output unit. On the other hand, you cannot both hear and obtain the sound, as it goes directly to the soundflower without being copied to the built-in output.
geometry dash
alt / option + right click on volume gives you this menu:

and Quicktime now looks like this:
