Online Resources and VPNs
I've been using Serviio for years now after trying anything I can find from time to time.
I love how it just works!
My question is about Online Resources, if I have a working rmtp or m3u8 and I want to hide it from my ISP or others, Do I need a vpn on the machine the server is running on, the client device or both?
I assumed that the server is simply providing a handshake for the feed, and the data flows from the source to the device, so the device would need one.
But I don't know this for certain, and don't know if there is any persistent contact between the server and the source.
Any help here would be appreciated!
