Using DMC to start video playback on DMR

Hello,
I am unable to fully control my renderer (sony bdv-e870) from DMC. The server is Serviio. I can pair Serviio and DMR to play music. I wonder what can be the cause? Is it common that DMC works only with audio?

consault the maker of the DMC, as its an issue with his software and not serviio.

Should work for all media types. Make sure you assign the profile of your device (DMR) to the IP of the DMC in the console.
