169.254.223.188 ???

The last few days I have an IP address that I don't recognise, 169,254,223,188 in the list of devices. Any idea what this is?

It's one of default IP address (in 169.254.X.X) chosen by the network card when DHCP is down.
(see more here or ask google about APIPA - Automatic Private IP Addressing ).

You may repair your DHCP server / network or set a static IP.

or in most causes i means ur router is dying ;) and most private users dont have seperate DHCP servers as they are built into the router.

yer the virgin routers are pants,(used top have to install teh damn things) your better off going out and buying a top level netgear router and plugging the modem to that or as above setting static (wired) ips
