Panasonic Viera G20 and srt files

Everything works fine but is there a way to remove the xml tags on the rendered text?
I look in the srt file with Jubler and I can see that some text has "italic" attributes.
When this shows up on the TV it shows the tags too. E.g., "<i>Some text</i>" and the text is not rendered italic.
Is there a way I can get the TV to render the text in italic without the tags?
Is this a profile or transcription error?
I am running 0.6.2

Thanks in advance

no, you'd have to remove the elements from the file yourself.

If I remove the elements, I don't get italic rendering. Is Italic rendering text possible on this setup?

Bummer. OK. Thanks Zip. I'll edit out the italics from the srt.
Thanks again for your support and brilliant work.
Cheers
