virtual folder ?

Hi All,

I have been using Serviio for about a week now to stream my rips made with MakeMKV to a new WDTV Live and so far so good.

All of my video files are on box with 24 drive slots and Windows server 2003 as the OS, I add a new drive as I fill up the current one and assign each new drive to a folder in a root folder called Video. Serviio is set to not show folders so when I select Video -> Folders -> Video I get a nice list of all my movies just the way I like it.

Is it possible to map a virtual folder similar to how Serviio does with Title, Movies, Series, Folders etc. I would like to have a kids folder where I can list all the kid movies without having to put them into a separate folder on the server.

Regards
Al

Virtual folders are not supported by serviio, only folders from metadata extraction are supported yet.
I never test it, but I think that serviio can extract NFO metadata, so you can create NFO files for each media on your server folder, and edit then use the "category" field to separate Kids to other media.

Thanks,

I'll give it a shot.
