Hi all

I have just started to get into the whole streaming from computer/phone to tv etc. I currently have a PS3, and i have a DLNA enabled TV on order also. So i really want to stream things from my pc or Android phone to my ps3, then later to my new TV.

I guess im mostly interested in streaming sports from the web, although i will also like to stream videos etc from pc at a later date.

I have tried to read through some of the posts on the this forum, but i have to admit it i am completely lost on even knowing where to start??? Of course i appreciate all you people are busy etc, so dont expect one to one tuition lol

Is there a idiots guide to maybe getting some live streaming from the web to play through my ps3 to start with?

I have had a fiddle but when i went to add a URL in the console, it just kept coming up with a red cross even though the web address was the same as what the stream was that was playing.

Like i said any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot

Chris

Hello Xmantium,

I am really new as well, but it's fairly straight forward on a computer to your Tv. Essentially, download the software and run it on your computer. I am assuming that you are storing things on your local drive meaning the one directly IN the computer.

To get going:

1) Then go to all Programs > Serviio > Start Serviio Serice.

2) Next go to All Programs > Serviio > Serviio Console.

3) From there you have a few basic things. Start with the library tab. That's where the source of your media. Click on local and select the folder that you want, click open and it's added to the list. From there select the type of media that you want it to scan and list (video, audio, photo, meta data).

4) Select your DLNA device and the appropriate profile for it then enjoy.
