Change to Linksys Mesh Router then Serviio Failed

Dear All,

I changed my ASUS router to 2 Linksys MX4200 mesh setup, found out Serviio cannot detect any devices afterwards. I looked for hints from this forum and tweaked the settings a little bit, e.g. enabling the filter multicast option, but no luck.

Help appreciated, cheers!

Michael.

Re: Change to Linksys Mesh Router then Serviio Failed

I've never played with a mesh network, but I've heard of this happening before. It's likely some setting somewhere within the mesh radios, but since you've already ensured Multicast, I can't say for certain what setting that might be. Might be a simple as a security setting that is blocking connected devices from seeing anything else on the network. Guest networks always have this enabled, but I've seen some standard routers having it enabled by default as well.
