Extremely slow to index files

On My Mac with 2.0 Pro Serviio, I have over 150,000 music files. It is taking several seconds to ingest each file. For 3 seconds/file, this will take 5 days!!
I have several other music servers (subsonic, squeezebox) and they do this in under an hour. What is serviio doing, and why is it taking so long?

I have the same problem on WIndows. Serviio is scanning my music library at rate of 1 song every 10 seconds and at this rate it will take a month before it's done. There has to be a way to speed this up or else Serviio is unusable for someone with a large library.
