None of the client devices can see Serviio

Hi all.

I've been using Serviio running on my QNAP NAS for a very long time. A couple of months ago, I changed the network from just a traditional hub to a managed switch. Same IP, same everything but since then, none of my client devices can see Serviio. My phone, my TV, my computer, none of them. This is the first time I'm seeing this issue and I have no idea where to start looking to debug the issue. Any advice?

Well, the problem is obviously the switch since nothing else has changed. Since the switch is managed (which really isn't necessary in a home network), there's probably a setting inside that is blocking multicast broadcasts. Make sure that TCP port 8895 and UDP 1900 are not being blocked in the switch. I'm assuming you can still access the Serviio console, so that would indicate there's no problem accessing your NAS through the switch.
