I searched for this problem, but couldn't find a matching topic:

I have a trouble with Serviio. In my old home, I had a wired connection between my computer (WinXP) and my router. After installing Serviio, it worked immediately. I got an Philips HTS home cinema set, with also a wired connection with my router. Everything worked fine.

In my new home I changed the setting. My computer became wirreles due the distance between the router and computer. After connecting everything my phone and Philips HTS couldn't find Serviio anymore. After deleting and reinstalling Serviio, everything works fine again. But when I shut down the computer and restart it, the problem returns. My phone and Philips HTS just don't find Serviio. Deleting and reinstalling Serviio solves the problem, untill the next reboot. The fact is, that the computer does find the phone and Philips HTS!

I think the problem could might be in the changed setting (old: computer wired connection -> new: Computer wireless connection)

(I use a Sitecome 300N X2 USB wireless adapter)

have you turned off the firewall on your serviio server?

Does Serviio got an own firewall? In my windows firewall I got the 8895 opened. But even with my Windows and router firewall disabled, it won't work.

Post detailed log of what happens after reboot. it's possible your network is not up yet when the service starts, or that it binds to another Ip address.

It binds to 127.0.0.1. which is wrong. Can you post detailed log of the same? Just the portion of before it starts the library scanning.

127.0.0.1 is an internal loopback network.. if it's binding to this address it's not going to be able to communicate over your network.

What do you have selected for the bound IP address under the status tab of your console? you should have your primary network adapter selected.

I got 2 options: automatically detected or 192.168.1.54 (Wireless adapter 300N X2 )
I got it saved on option number 2: the wireless adapter. But my phone and Philips Blue Ray still don't find Serviio. I got the app Serviidroid, which does show my server. Strange...

Important edit: I found out that if I go to Windows services interface and stop Serviio and restart it, it immediately got found at the other devices! I think we are close to the problem now... Anybody?

Your log was not detailed log, there were no DEBUG statements.

It looks like it takes your network a long time to start. There is 30 seconds wait time in Serviio, which should wait for your preferren NIC to be available. So it might be too short for your case, but I need the log to confirm it.

As a solution you can try to change the Serviio service startup to Delayed.
