desktop streaming possible?!

Ive read somewhere but cant remember where ive seen it. that you can stream your desktop through serviio using vlc somehow but i got completely lost when it came to the vlc side. has anyone done this what kind of performance do you get any help or feedback would be much appreciated thanks

The lag depends on your cpu power. In my case its about 4 seconds, but its irrelevant when you are just watching a live stream on your TV which is already lagged by 15 some seconds between the actual TV transmission and its arrival at your PC.
