Windows 7 32 bit - no console

I have a Windows 7 32 bit system (all patches up to date).
I have the very latest Java installed.
I have the very latest Serviio installed.

Here is the issue - I launch the GUI and I do not get the sys tray icon and the GUI never spawns.
In task mgr I see 2 instances of the server executable running and I see one instance of the console executable running.
I kill the processes and re-launch and still not GUI.

I have uninstalled and re-installed Java and Serviio.

Any ideas?

In task mgr I see 2 instances of the server exhaustible running and I see one instance of the console exhaustible running.

Thats normal, but it also confirms the console is running. Can you see the Serviio Console icon in the System Tray (you may have to press the show hidden icons button). Serviio console will start minimised to the system tray.

EDIT: Sorry - reread your post and it clearly states you can't see the icon. Other than checking its not hidden I'm not sure - I'll come back to you if I can find anything. Does running serviio-console.bat (in your bin folder) produce anything differently?

try to uninstall all java from your system and reinstall java again. If it still doesn't help, try a different Java version.
