Using 2 routers

I have a second router to extend my wireless signal in my house. When everything is connected to the same router I can connect without a problem. However when the laptop with Serviio is connected to a different router (same wireless ID) I can not connect. Can anyone provide a solution?

Thanks

check the IPs of the 1st router and the second router.

if the first router has ip 192.168.1.1, all the clients will get an ip in the 192.168.1 range. (example; 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.253)
if the second router has ip 192.168.2.1 all those clients will get an ip in the 192.168.2. range.

Those 2 can't communicate with eachother.

Make sure they are in the same ip range and the same subnet.

Put the second router in the same range as the first by giving it an ip like 192.168.1.2, disable dhcp and put all the cables in the LAN ports, nothing in the WAN.
