Should change this to Media Browser issues for audio within a large repository of music files. I have done lots of testing on playlists and random music thru the web based browser. ( I use this to provide bacground music throughout my home and at work.) With
detailed logging turned on overnight the log file was about 700k. When I fired up the browser it's hit or miss on whether the "random music" feature will even start. Consistently opens the track and immediately shuts down the player after 1-2 seconds. Custom .wpl playlists play several tracks and then the web based player freezes.
Debug log indicates an authorization error (401). While all this fiddling the debug log grew to 50mb. Most of the entries are fetching media data for the entire music library some 7,000 tracks. I had disabled auto updating and searching for updates just to be sure that the log activity was only reporting user activity. I know that v1.3 is making use of new search logic but it appears that something is crippling the flash interface when the play list (total random music or custom playlists) references a large repository. I even uninstalled flash player reinstalled it. Did the same with Chrome because of the embedded flash. No difference
All of my android devices work just fine using serviigo so it has to be an issue with how the web based media browser is interacting with the serviio server.
I realize hand held technology is hot, but a media server this powerful should at least have an appropriately functional web based media player.
I will continue to serve up video with serviio, but for the time being I have reverted to WHS2011 for my musical enjoyment. Antiquated and no longer supported, but it works!
