Serviio

Hi,

I installed serviio on my computer and on my phone and tablet and for couple days i could watch shows on my tablet and phone (android) but now when i try to connect to the server i get failed to connect and it seems as the server working cuz the search finds it but just cant connect.

What are you using on your Android devices, ServiiGo, or a DLNA based app? If ServiiGo, there was a bug when connecting to 1.3 server with an eval license, its been fixed in 3.0.2 which should be on Google Play by now.

It's December 2015 and I've just recently purchased a HP X510 DataVault.

I got my hands on the original recovery ISO from HP and installed it. I also come across Serviio on theinternet just the other day.

I'm trying to get something happening in order to stream videos from my X510 to either my Microsoft LUMIA 640 phone, or my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

ServiioGo is installed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. I've tried many time to connect to Serviio on my HP X510, to no avail. ServiioGo 'sees' Serviio on my HPSERVER, but it Just Will Not Connect. I'm experiencing failure after failure and I don't know what I'm doing wrong (or even if I'm doing something wrong).

I try my best to nut things out myself first, so I'm posting here as a last resort.

I've seen somewhere that a couple of Ports have to be forwarded in the router to the server (ports 23424 TCP, 8895 TCP, 1900 UDP). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've turned off Twonky Media and HP's in-built streaming /sharing (at least I've tried to), if that helps. Is there something I'm missing here?

Or do I need to Purchase Serviio before it will work? (If so, I like to see things working before I purchase).

The connection issue happens in ServiioGo when I click "Add Server". ServiioGo 'sees' my server but it won't connect. /confused.

Your help would be appreciated.
