Hi,

after setting up the serviio server and adding local and smb folders in the library the server cant get the content from the folders. when checking the status I get a red signal.
however I can ccess the server from a dlna player and I can see the folder-tree in the library, but no content.
I stopped and started the server sevral times but no solution there.
the server is the 1.3.1 version on a win7 machine.
what did I miss or what solution here?

don't enter tooooo much folders at once... it will take time to process them all :)

As a try out I only used small folders with a few images in it. the server still gives the red signal on the status.

I'd start with local folders only. If you add remote paths, the local account that runs Serviio service has to have access rights, which might require some additional configuration.

Do the local shared folders you add have subfolders? Are those showing up on the DLNA client?

Note that the red signal in the library status doesn't indicate an error condition, it indicates that there is no actual update process running. So if you press force update while there is a problem with accessing your folders and you open the status box, you might have already missed the short green blink.

You can always check the logfile to see what went wrong with the library update.

Hi,

the shared folders are on an open share. no passwords needed. I can access the shared folders directly from an dlna player (mediahouse android app)
when I access via the serviio I can enter the parentfolder and view all folders but have no access to the childfolders. I made a little setup for this

BTW are spaces in folder names allowed?

Yes they are. I'd avoid spaces in share names though.
