streaming online feeds to wdtv

hey all,
I am having problems streaming online content, more specifically hockeystreams to my wd tv live gen 3. I also have a ps3 which works perfectly fine. The wdtv live works for the first few seconds then it goes mute and slowmotion. I've compared the CPU usages when using both units. When using the ps3 the CPU usage for ffmpeg is only about 3% but when I try streaming the exact same feed on the wdtv, the CPU usage for ffmpeg is closer to 300%. I don't know if it has something to do with the profiles for wdtv for if its trying transcode the video, either way, I really want to figure out whats going on here. Any help or suggestions for be really appriciated.

thanks
Vince.

I think what you're asking me to do is to post the url of the stream im trying to watch. if this is the case, I cannot because it is a secured stream..

no, I need you to post the output of the ffmpeg command above (you can remove/change the stream URL before posting it here).
