I am trying to use the <set> tag in my .nfo files in order to keep specific films together (specifically, a series like the Bourne trilogy etc.).

Does Serviio support the <set> tag?

Also - is there a way to modify the date format shown for films when reading the metainfo? All of the dates are presented on my 2010 G20 Viera as US format (i.e. MM/dd/yy) - or is that a "feature" of the TV? :?

I don't think it does. My solution is to create playlists for each trilogy, and then go Video->Playlists->Bourne trilogy to view them. Simply create a .m3u file in the parent folder with the relative paths to the subfolders containing the films.

I belive the date format is a feature of your TV, there might be an option in your settings to change it?

As will states, supported using Playlists. This feature was previously requested: https://bitbucket.org/xnejp03/serviio/i ... movie-sets.
