MKV files starting giving problems recently

Recently, I can no longer watch mkv files via Serviio to my PS3, as the audio will stop, video will continue for 2-10s, and then video will stop while the audio catches up. Once the audio catches up, it proceeds as normal for anywhere between 10s-5minutes before it does it again.

To describe how Serviio streams I have the following setup:

Computer -> Linksys Router -> Powerline Adapter -> Power lines in house -> Powerline hub -> PS3

I recently upgraded to 1.3.1, and re-configured my office so I may have changed some of the network cables around a bit (put in new ones), so I'm trying to figure out what could be the cause of the slowdowns... I'm a bit new to debugging these types of things, so any assistance would be appreciated.

I suspect the poweline adapters. I had similar setup and eventually just replace them with cat5 cable, as the signal got worse. That can be caused by a problem with your power wiring or something that disrupts the data flow - e.g. large appliance (it might even not be yours, but your neighbour's).

Try to see if you have the same problem if you connect the PS3 straight to the router via a cable.
