Windows serviio client setup
Warm greetings!
Over the past few days I've been attempting to setup my serviio server.
My setup in question here is a remote Linux (Debian 7) dedicated server and a home windows machine.
I've setup the serviio server and it is working with both my phone (through ServiiGo) and on my windows machine the web browser is working great too.
However my music library are Loss-less (FLAC) encodes and I'd like to make the most of them by using a client on the windows machine that will support them in a loss-less format.
I've been trying to setup Foobar2000 with the DLNA plugin.
I'm going to View > UPnP Controller > R-click > Add Remote Internet UPnP Server >
Host: http://myservurl.com:23424
Login: (blank)
Password: Serviiopassword
After going to OK I get a loading for a second and then the error
Could not connect to remote Internet server.
I also tried with XBMC and for the same issue.
I ensured both applications was allowed passed windows firewall and also tried disabling it.
My Linux server has ports forwarded through the firewall and isn't behind a NAT.
Anyone any idea why I'm getting this or what a better media client to use would be?
Thank you.
Edit:
Went back to trying to get it to work on XBMC without any luck
However I have Webdav enabled on the Linux Apache server and XBMC is able to stream fine through that. But still not able to establish a connection to Serviio apart from Serviigo and the mediabrowser.
Even though I could use webdav on XBMC it's not very lightweight.
