No playable file for playlists

I can't get playlists to work on Serviio.

So far, I've just tried audio playlists. I exported my playlist from iTunes to my shared audio playlists folder. When I click on that folder in Serviio, it says "There is no playable file"

I added a new playlist to see what the log says. Here is a copy:

2013-11-20 16:55:13,044 INFO [LibraryAdditionsCheckerThread] Finished looking for newly added files
2013-11-20 16:55:13,144 INFO [LibraryUpdatesCheckerThread] Finished looking for updates to currently shared files
2013-11-20 16:55:13,245 INFO [LibraryAdditionsCheckerThread] Started looking for newly added files
2013-11-20 16:55:13,258 INFO [LibraryUpdatesCheckerThread] Started looking for updates to currently shared files
2013-11-20 16:55:13,262 INFO [LibraryAdditionsCheckerThread] Added playlist 'Workout2.m3u' (title: Workout2) to Library

Please help!

Thanks!

I don't know how iTunes formats the playlist file, so that might be an issue. I use Playlist Creator to make my lists, and they all play fine. I use the .PLS format, not the M3U version. I believe I had issues with the M3U version, but it's been so long since I tried it I can't remember.

I believe Playlist Creator is Windows only, so if you need something for another OS you'll need to check around.

Thanks. I may try the Playlist Creator if I can't get iTunes to work. However, I'm pretty sure I've seen some people here saying the could export their iTunes playlists in m3u format, which I tried, successfully.

I just added my iTunes folder as a Serviio shared folder and that got all my music. I just can't get it to recognize any of the playlists. It seems others have, but it never shows the damn playlists.

Serviio is great, I just wish I could get this to work.

Actually, I just figured it out. I had exported the playlist files to a shared folder on Serviio. However, I hadn't shared the files where the actual songs that the playlist file pointed to were. I just assumed the actual playlist file would still show...I assumed wrong!

Works now.
