Hi!
I got home theatre Pioneer XV-BD122B.
I'm using it on generic DLNA profile becouse there's no profile for it.
It works fine, no sub transcoding needed so i removed sub transcode form dlna profile.
The problem is that display aspect ratio in no good, it streches to full screen. (1920*800 to 1920*1080)
Tried to fix but didn't succeed
Also got a sony bravia TV witch transcodes subs, added sub transcode and it works fine.
No aspect ratio problems.

Need help! Thanx!

You shouldn't edit the Generic DLNA profile as it affects all other profiles. The <HardSubsTranscoding> section is only used if you have "Enable burned-in subtitles" in Serviio Console, Delivery, Subtitles tab.

It really does sound like the video is still being transcoded??? Perhaps provide a detailed log while playing the movie - that will tell us what is happening.

Do you need burned in subtitles (Hard subs) with your Pioneer. If not, turn them off in Serviio Console, Delivery, Subtitles tab. If you need them, create a profile for your Pioneer - something along the lines of:

  Code:
<Profile id="BD122B" name="Pioneer XV-BD122B" extendsProfileId="1">
   <HardSubsTranscoding>
      <Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetVCodec="mpeg2video" targetACodec="ac3" aBitrate="384" DAR="16:9" />
   </HardSubsTranscoding>
</Profile>

I use 2 devices.
sony bravia 2011 and pioneer XV-BD122B. Sony has better dlna menu and it's faster, pioneer is slow and it's menu is poor but it playes all files.
I removed hard sub from generic dlnna becose i don't need it on pioneer but i need it on sony (added there).
The difrence is when i play high bitrate movie on sony bravia it glitches when transcoding subtitles.
When so, i play the movie on pioneer. it reads all embeded subtitles, and all audio files without transcoding.
Only problem is aspect ratio.
