I am using Serviio to stream 24Bit/96KHz FLAC audio files to my Receiver. This Receiver is not capable of playing streamed 24Bit/192KHz FLAC audio file.

Is Serviio capable of streaming 24Bit/192KHz Flac audio file? If it is I want to buy a Receiver that is capable of playing streamed 24bi/192KHz FLAC audio file.

I would like your help.

Regards

Dear all,

I am happy I have just found the exact question I am looking an answer for! Unfortunatly, nobody replied :(
I am just giving it another shot!
In my case, I have already an amplifier (a Yamaha RN-500) who handles DLNA and Flac up to 24bits / 192kHz stream and I am wondering if Serviio is the right tool to help me streaming my HD Flac from my computer to my amplifier
Thank you very much for helping!
Best regards,
Pat

Afaik, Serviio only handles up to 48kHz sampling. Do correct me if I'm wrong. I get warnings in the log file if I try to play files with a higher sampling rate than that without transcoding.

I also want to stream 24/192 FLAC files to various DLNA devices - can Serviio stream at this rate without transcoding down? (Assuming of course that the DLNA Renderer device can handle 24/192).

You got me curious, so I downloaded a 24/192 test file from http://www.linnrecords.com/linn-downloa ... files.aspx and it streamed it via Serviio natively to my Yamaha RX-V500D (which has native support for 24/192). No transcoding.

So yes is the answer.
