Hello!

I have a huge 80" Sharp Aquos. Nice TV, no subtitles support...

LC80LE646S

I need to burn the subtitles on the streaming.

I use a XPenology system (DSM 4.3), on HP Gen8 Microserver with Serviio 1.4.0-0024.

I've selected "Enable burned-in subtitles - Always" and Serviio is using the Aquos preset, but is NOT transcoding (I see 10% processor load).

My files are avi (mp4, xvid, h264).

The Serviio is using the Sharp Aquos profile.

I've tried the forceVTranscoding="true" from here, but no luck...

Post (attach) a detailed log of you attempting to play a file with subtitles.
Subtitle file name must be the same as the mvie file name (with an optional language qualifier): see http://www.serviio.org/component/conten ... es-support

This suggests your srt file is being served as a native resource rather than being burnt in. Try resetting your Subtitle settings in Serviio Console (turn them off, press save, turn them back on, press save).

Also, what are you using as a console (the first post shows a picture of a console, but is missing a field Subtitle Character Encoding, that my version has)? Maybe an issue?

Not sure what OS you are on, but perhaps try Serviio Console that comes with Serviio instead of the Web UI version.

eg. if you have a Windows PC available, download the windows version of Serviio and only install the Serviio Console component. You need to point the console to your server location by editing the ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions file located in the the C:\Program Folders\Serviio\bin folder (any text editor will do the job) and add a line:

    -Dserviio.remoteHost=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of your server. Important - the version of Serviio Console must be the same as the version of Serviio you are running.
