How to config Serviio?

Hello, I have installed Serviio on my Ubuntu server.
But how do I configurate it? I can't find any configuration-file. And how do I log into it?
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04-server. So I don't have a monitor to it, I only talk to it through SSH.

you are running serviio headless. You need to install the console on another computer that has a monitor and then you can configure it.

Hello Moltra,

Thanks for the help.

I'm guessing that you refer to installation part 4 here. Where I should change something on my C/program.... But I haven't got kanything on my Windows machine, only on the Ubuntu server. What should I download on my Windows machine? A link there would be helpfull.

Download Serviio 1.4 for windows, and when you install it, select just the console. You can then edit C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions as described in the wiki to point the console at your server.

Hello,

Thanks again for the help.
But things still keep messing with me. :x
Nothing happens when I start to open Serviio Console (on my Win 7, 64bit).
At the first atempt it took a while and after that it told me it couldn't find the server (I was a little bit to fast and forgott to add the lines in "ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions".
But after adding the lines here (and changed tp my servers ip), nothing happens when I klick the serviio console.
This file "ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions" is empty. Should it be that?
At installation I unchecked the server edition, and kept the client and "top thing" (think it was about some libriries).

I haven't installed it on my C-drive (it's a small SSD, so I try to not install programs there). But I guess that this shouldn't do anything.

Any suggestons on what to do?

I found a log-file fron Serviio, it says:

The console is 1.4 and server 1.2.1 is this a problem? How come I can get wrong realises when I download them the same day?

Or is it a java error? If so, on windows (client) or Ubuntu (server)?

Any suggestions?

if you have graphical interface on your server, then you can run local console on ubuntu server... console script is in folder /bin, but i like to use remote console from my android phone.

Thanks, now I got that up and running as well.

But I still have one question.
As I mention earlier, I have an Ubuntu-server (running 24/7) where the movies are on. How do I point up those folders in the windows console?
I tried /\\localhost\Private\movies\ but that didn't work. How do I tell it to look on the server (that have serviio-server running)?
