So is it possible or not to add direct links to online media files, and how good should the result be?
I wish to add files like:

to Serviio Online Sources and be able to play them on my devices // tried all 3 options (rss, live, web) none seems to work, (live - made a list of files but they were non playable on any device)



devices: Panasonic tv, iphone, mvix ultio media player
all devices play local files well.
OS on serviio pc is Ubuntu

tried it with rss. made this for testing > http://www.lxrss.co.nf/feed.rss
still cant see titles in list on any device

those links are not playable. maybe expired links

No, might be IP restriction, country filter or whatever (the server they are on might have slow global),
Links are still playable for me, in both browser and mpc.



But that's not the point, How can / should i those kind of media files with serviio? Also what should happened when i add online source? (as soon as i add online source, does serviio just make the file accessible to a device, or does it start DL-ing the media, or does it only download (part of it) during play?). Should it take long for big files to appear in list on a device?

It would be nice to be able to watch online movies with serviio, instead of viewing them in browser / or dl-ing to media box.
