Serviio

Greetings,

I am having a very hard time trying to get serviio going... I love it for windows, and I'm certain once I figure out the issue I will likewise love it for ubuntu.

I'm running ubuntu server 13.10. I've installed serviio1-.4, and everytime I run it nothing happens, at all.

If I do a sudo start serviio, it just says serviio stopped/paused.

I'm quite new to linux, I haven't used it in a very long time... I could be doing something very stupid, I don't know. Here is the log file, if anyone can help I would be VERY grateful!

edit; I do have ffmpeg installed, I did sudo apt-get ffmpeg

I've also tried following the wiki how to with directions, but some of it wasn't working for me. (Not sure if its outdated, or what the case is).

It starts and imediatelly stops. I have seen in in the forums before, try to search. But I suppose upgrading Java might help.

Well, I am extremely new to linux, so...

The issue turned out, serviio has to be run in the daemon/a background process.

When I was running it, I was running serviio.sh and then when it wasnt doing anything, i would hit CTRL+C.

Anyways, its working great now. TY
