Serviio

I have an extensive image library (28,000 plus photos) in addition to video and audio libraries. After upgrade to 1.4.1 when I drill down on images all the folders and individual thumbnails show. When I select a picture or add the to the queue and try play a play list the screen is black except for the "x" in the top right corner. All the browser caches were cleared before logging into the media server. I have tried with the same result from win 8.1 pro latest Chrome and IE11. Also win7 pro IE10 and Chrome. Attempted locally as well as remote. Same thing. I deleted the pictures from the library and then added them back and waited for the library to reindex. None of the pictures were recently added and all displayed in v1.4. Audio and video work fine. It would be a pain to uninstall and regress to 1.4. The bugs were an inconvenience but at least I could play a slide show. What am I missing?

Additionally. All pictures are available via the attached wdtv live served up by serviio. It appears to only be a Media browser issue .

I have exactly the same issues.

I have he same problem except it works fine on one of my computers.

Does not work on.....
-Server with windows 8.1 (serviio machine)
-Netbook with windows 7
-Playbook.

Works on....
-Laptop with windows vista.

All windows machines are using Chrome.

My problems seemed to have resolved themselves. Images, Music, and Video seemed to working fine. Perhaps some sort of sync or index problem.

I am also experiencing the same problem as snowflake7 in the OP. Win7, 32bit, Chrome and IE11. I also tried logging out and back in, clearing the browser cache. Nothing works.

At the moment I cannot use 1.4.1 to view any photos in Mediabrowser under any category.

<Edit> Tried MB on my iPad (which I have not used since the 1.4.1 upgrade) and, before doing anything else, simply tried to view a photo under the Image, Folders category. Same problem - no image displayed, I get the black viewing square with the close X in the top right.

An update. Had not tried Firefox. Installed it and same thing, but.... When I was adjusting the browser configuration I right clicked to add the menu bar to the browser display. The images appeared below and the media browser was fully functional unitl I browsed to a different folder. Logged out and back in screen was blank until I screwed around with the browser settings. Tried the same thing in IE10 same result. Modify the browser tool bar and Media browser works until the next session.

Also noticed that a couple of .wmp image playlists that I had created for a family reunion still appear but none of the content is available. They work like a charm in v1.4.

Is there any way the jar for the v1.4 media browser could be posted? I thought I read somewhere that overwriting the current version jar for the media browser with the prior would work. (rar should have been jar, my bad).

Installed v1.4 on another computer. Exited from the console on the live serviio host and then stopped the serviio service. Renamed the serviio-mediabrowser.jar file to serviio-mediabrowser.jar.old in the lib directory and then copied the file with the same name from the v1.4 install to the live serviio host. Restarted the services.

On the remote clients cleared the browser cache and the mediabrowser returned to the v1.4 functionality.

Worked for IE10, IE11, Chrome and Opera. I didn't try Firefox.

Tried to attach the v1.4 jar file but understandably that wasn't allowed.

Fixed it now, will release a hotfix over the weekend.

Works in Chrome, Opera and IE11 and Firefox. Results are unchanged in IE10. See below for quote from previous post ...

Also expanding display to full screen does not work in IE10.

Why IE10? In networked environments utilizing a "domain" IE11 currently doesn't play well with Group Policy. So in a domain environment IE10 is still the best managed "microsoft" browser. For what it's worth.
