Hello. I am a licensed user of Serviio that just found out that Serviio will not run on Mavericks, using Oracle's Java 8. Will this configuration be supported in the very near future? If not, i will have to search for another media server. Please assist.

I have Mavericks and have no problem running Serviio, so the issues you are having are not Mavericks specific.

It should not hide currently, because OSX thinks it's a an app with UI. That's why it's sometimes stuck, I guess. I'm planning to change that for 1.5, so that there is adaemon for the server and app for the console.
