Java Problem

Hi,

I have just tried installing Serviio for the first time. While installing, it asked to install Java 6, which I allowed. Once installed, I saw that it had installed Java 7 Update 5 (64 bit) which is an old version of Java. I now had 2 versions of Java on my system - Java 7 Update 5 (64 bit) and Java 7 Update 55 (which is the latest version). This obviously isn't a good thing so I uninstalled the old version of Java, but when I started Serviio again I got this:

I see that this problem has been discussed before, but no solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

first try to uninstall all java from your system and then restart, after that install PROPER java (32 or 64 bit!)
then try serviio. in don't work then try system restore 2-3 days before and don't install any java, only serviio!
so you won't mess with java's :)

But proper Java was already installed before I installed Serviio. Serviio added another older version of Java.

You need the 64 bit java on your system (can be the newest one) if you're on 64 bit OS.

Thank you :D . Once you posted that, I realised I needed both 32bit and 64bit versions of Java installed. I am on a 64bit system, but my browser is 32bit, so as far as my browser was concerned Java was up to date. Serviio obviously runs on 64 bit so I have now installed the 64bit version as well, reinstalled Serviio and all is good.
