Enable Burned in Subtitles Causes Ratio Issue

Firstly I'm using Serviio 1.4.1.2 (I have also had this problem in previous versions)
Play back is on a Sony Bravia KDL-47W800A.
I'm using the Bravia 2013 profile.
When ever I try to use my 2013 Bravia TV to play a video from Serviio with a separate .SRT file I have problems.
When I have it setup to burn in the subtitle it does, but it shrinks the video size down and displays the subtitles in the now empty space under the video.
It seems to scale back the size of the video so it is not stretched but has a lot of black space on all sides.
If i disable burned in subtitles the subtitles don't display at all but the video displays in it's normal ratio.
This problem is driving me crazy I can't figure it out.
