Hello,

I just installed Serviio! Its seems Great on Samsung tv.. I can see the subtitles etc.. Everything ok...

BUT... what about WD TV ?? I can see Serviio as a server, but i cannot see the subtitles.

I disabled transcoding, (I dont want transcoding, i want to play the file as is).

Can you help me?

I am Greek so i need Greek subtitles (utf-8). Currently in WD TV i cannot see subtitles at all. Like they dont exist, they cannot be enabled.

Thanks so much!
Antonis

*if I solve this problem i will buy it immediately .. But this is my issue ;)

Thanks so much once more

*found the WDTV Live profile. I switched there, restarted service, restarted computer.. no luck.. I cannot see the subtitles that I see on samsung.

The files are .mkv and the subs are .srt exactly with the same name.. no luck.. any ideas?

Thank you!

My reading suggests the WD Live doesn't support external subtitles with MKV files over DLNA (but does via USB). As such you need to either embed the subtitles into the mkv file (using mkvmerge or similar) or use hardsubs.

See viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6970.

DenyAll is correct, it does not support external subs via a DLNA media server......however, besides supporting them whem connecting via USB, it will also support them when accessing a file via a direct Network Share.
