WDTVLive Out Of Sync
Posted: Thu May 22, 2014 7:55 pmThe problem could be with Serviio, WDTV Live or both. I am beginning with this forum without prejudice.
When running Serviio through WDTV Live, the movie sometimes drops out. By this I mean it either locks up / freezes or the WDTV LIve box drops out of video being played and reverts to the selection page.
Playing the movie again starts from the beginning, I don't get the resume prompt.
Fast forwarding then gives me a different time from the displayed movie. For instance, the time display may fast forward to 50 minutes, but the movie displayed is only the first 5 minutes. Coming out of fast forward and into play then displays the movie from the 50 minute mark. This means I can't fast forward to the previous point dropped out by scanning the movie. The fast forward/rewind time versus display out of sync remains during the rest of the film.
There appears to be a loss of information between Serviio and WDTV Live which is not recovered. I must admit I have not tried rebooting the WDTV Live box, or the PC yet, to isolate the problem - mainly because I want to finish watching the movie and this is normally too late in the day for investigative work.
Does anyone know what might be happening and how it might be cured?
