Hi, I know this question was asked a few times and i tried all the options within previous posts but I am lost with this one and could not find portable router questions within the forum.

As an overview I have a powerline setup at home and my xbox and pc where conected like that for quite a while and stream perfectly from one another but the issue arised when i required to move the powerline plug to another device so i bought an LB-Link portable router for the xbox. http://www.lb-link.cn/index.php/products/view?pid=59

The issue is that no matter what I do I can't seem to see serviio on the xbox now and serviio cannot see the xbox. The connection is there as I have xbox live but i can stream locally anymore from serviio.

Anyone had luck with portable routers? It has a bunch of settings to setup as all routers but the first thing i checked was the firewall tab and port forwarding as suggested in other posts but its all chinese for me

Thanks in advance.

More info about your network might be needed please. Some questions:
  • The PC is plugged into your main router via ethernet, but the Xbox 360 connects to same router via WiFi (specifically using the travel router, and not using built-in WiFi or an official Xbox 360 wireless adapter)?
  • Can you ping the Xbox 360 from the PC where Serviio is installed?
  • In your main router, is there some restriction of communication between wireless clients and wired clients (e.g. using a wireless "guest" network SSID)?
