Setup of Yamaha RX-V3800 - V3900 works fine

Hello,

I am new to Serviio and am having issues getting my older Yamaha RX-V3800 working; my V3900 (a newer model; about a year newer) works just fine. Serviio sees the V3800, but the V3800 doesn't apparently see/display the shared files. I know that the V3800 is an older model with limited DLNA abilities, but several things that I have found indicate that it should or could work, see below.

***I haven't had a chance to test the uppermost link, but plan to on Thursday (07/24/2014).***

What I was hoping is that someone may have run into this before and has an easy answer (profile modification, etc...). Any help would be most welcome.

Thank you,

Madi:

Please be aware that the second provided link is in German and will require translation.

Also, the V3800 does work with proprietary Yamaha MCX-2000, Windows Media Player 11 and up, as well as Windows Media Connect.

Sorry, I am new to posting, as you can probably tell. Just an FYI... My system is running Linux Mint 16 and the latest stable release of Serviio.
