Serviio does not restart the computer.
Serviio does not close automatically when you restart your computer.
I have manually to close serviio and then restart.
it is inconvenient.
I use macbook pro, mac os x mavericks 10.9.4

Your statements do not make sense to me.
When you restart, the computer shuts off and so all applications are shutdown including serviio.
When it starts backup, the applications in the Startup folder automatically restart and Serviio will startup and reload.
Serviio cannot either cause the computer to restart, or prevent your computer from restarting.

The Blender foundation movies Sintel and Big Buck Bunny are available in varying resolutions and formats. I quite like them for testing capabilities.
