No audio on HTC One m8

Hi Guys!
So i decided to give Serviio ago with UpnPlay App so that i could run tv series through my phone. I've set everything up to my my knowledge the only thing is when i play the movies they have no audio. I am currently using a PC win7 and HTC one M8
Any suggestions?

I'd guess that the audio codec used in the movie is not supported by the app. Use MediaInfo to discover the codec being used, then see if the app supports it. If its not supported you will need to write a profile for the app to transcodethe audio (I did something similar for 8player - an iDevice app - as it didnt support DTS or AC3 audio. You can probably do something similar - see
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1936&p=87230 - for your app).

So i bit the bullet and decided to go Serviio Pro as i like how simple the software is and the support on here from looking around is great.
However i still have the same problem and the audio of the file is AC-3.

While going Pro is needed if you go down the ServiiGo path, it doesnt change the way you use Serviio with a DLNA renderer. You still need to create a profile for your app as per my previous post.

You can try ServiiGo, it has a profile for it. It should play all your files and it a great app anyway.

Which video player are you using with your UPnP app? Even with ServiiGo you will need an external video player to play back content at original quality. I personally recommended MX Player.

at the minute i'm using PlayerPro (Paid for) and i tried the MX Player and still had no joy! How can i solve this?

MX Player has a software, hardware, and mixed decoders. Can you try with the H/W+ decoder.

So i tried and installed all the codecs possible in the hope resolving it, however i had no joy! So i tried googling again and found that BSPlayer does play MKV with Audio intergration no problem and i tried and it played first time round with audio.
So if anyone wants to know in the future regarding HTC One M8 and players i would recommend BSPlayer either free or paid for.
