console fails connection check even when working
Posted: Thu Oct 02, 2014 7:51 pmI've searched but do not see this mentioned, in console when I check connectivity status under emote tab it always shows red X BUT remote is working. and for being on a crappy dsl its working pretty darned well, nice product.
I have tried using just the dynamc host name, tried with that and :port, tried with :port/mediabrowser at end and it fails.
if I check using ip address:port it passes.
for now I am using NoIP service and port 80 redirect to the port 23424.
would masking the url cause this? have not tried changing that.
odd as it all seems to work fine, I just want to see why.
all ports are forwarded correctly too, netgear prosafe vpn firewall and I also added the ports under win7 advanced firewall settings to be sure however where it works we know its not port issue really.
any ideas are appreciated, thanks.
